Set out on an unforgettable 8-day, 7-night Tanzania wildlife and cultural safari, exploring some of the most iconic and diverse destinations in the northern circuit. Your journey begins in Tarangire National Park, known for its towering baobab trees and large elephant herds.

From here, continue to the legendary Serengeti National Park, where vast open plains are filled with incredible wildlife. Depending on the season, you may have the chance to witness the Great Migration, one of nature’s most spectacular events.

Next, visit the remarkable Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, home to a dense concentration of wildlife in a truly unique setting.

The adventure also includes a cultural experience at Lake Eyasi, where you’ll meet the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes and gain insight into their traditional lifestyles and daily practices.

Your safari concludes with a visit to Lake Manyara National Park, a lush and scenic park famous for its tree-climbing lions, flamingos, and diverse habitats.

Throughout the journey, you’ll stay at comfortable hotels, making this safari a perfect blend of wildlife, nature, and cultural discovery.

Itinerary

Day 1: Kilimanjaro Airport –Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you’ll be welcomed by the safari coordinator from Joanne Adventures and transferred to your hotel. Here, you’ll receive a detailed briefing about your safari, check your camping gear, and have the chance to choose your preferred meals for the journey ahead.
Day 2 : Tarangire National Park
The next morning, after breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up to begin your adventure. You’ll drive for about three hours to Tarangire National Park, a beautiful destination known for its year-round wildlife and the life-giving Tarangire River. Large herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and oryx gather here, especially during the dry season. After a rewarding game drive, you’ll head to a hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park
From here, you’ll continue to Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic landscapes of the Ngorongoro Highlands and stopping at Olduvai Gorge, an important archaeological site where early human fossils were discovered. Upon arrival in the Serengeti, enjoy an evening game drive—an excellent time to spot predators as they become more active. Dinner and overnight will be at a hotel.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park
The following day is dedicated to exploring the Serengeti, with a full-day game drive visiting key areas such as watering holes and hippo pools. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch out in the wild while taking in the vast plains and incredible concentration of wildlife before returning to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Serengeti / Ngorongoro Highland
After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti before continuing to the Ngorongoro area via Olduvai Gorge. Upon reaching the crater rim, you’ll relax, have dinner, and spend the night at a hotel.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater
The next day, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of game viewing. This is one of the best places in Africa to see the rare black rhino, along with lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and a wide variety of birdlife, including flamingos. After a picnic lunch and more exploration, you’ll continue to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel.
Day 7: Lake Eyasi
Your journey then takes you to Lake Eyasi, a peaceful and scenic destination known for its birdlife and surrounding wildlife. The area is home to flamingos, hippos, monkeys, and even elusive predators, offering a unique and quieter safari experience. You’ll stay overnight at a hotel near the lake.
Day 8: Lake Manyara National Park
On your final day, after breakfast, you’ll head to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. This park is known for its diverse wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, buffalo, hippos, and its famous tree-climbing lions. Later in the day, you’ll return to Arusha or Moshi, where you’ll have dinner and rest, marking the end of your unforgettable safari adventure.

Pack packs without flames are better than suitcases. This luggage may be packed on the back or in the roof rack of the safari 20 Kg ( 44 Lbs) are maximum weight.

Joanne Adventures team will pick you up and transfer you to designated Hotels. Pick up on arrival airport and drop off are included on our package. We arrange also other group transport if required.

A valid visa is required for travel to Tanzania. A passport with a minimum validity of 6 months prior to expiry is required.
A single-entry visa is valid for 3 months from the date of issue. Visas-on-arrival are available at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)for US$50. (For U.S. Citizens, the cost is US$100 for a multiple entry visa.) However, it is advised that visitors traveling from a country where visa services are available should obtain a visa prior to arrival in order to avoid potential delays at the airport

Swahili is the national language of Tanzania, but many tribal languages are spoken amongst the 120+ ethnic communities in Tanzania. English is considered the de facto official language. It is widely spoken by those who work in tourism and hospitality.

If you have any allergies or special dietary requirements, please let us know beforehand at the time of booking, so we can advise the lodgings accordingly. Most places will be able to accommodate to your preferred meal options, though sometimes vegetarian/vegan options may be a bit limited and repetitive. If you require any special health supplement, please kindly bring it with you.

This is your safari trip, your adventure! You decide how you want to spend your time on this vacation. If you would like to spend a full day on safari, you are definitely welcome to do so. Safari Infinity does not restrict your mileage, fuel, or how much time you want to be on safari. While some days you may decide to set out by sunrise, other days you can have a slower-paced breakfast before starting your daily exploration. Simply sit down with your guide to plan your day and meals the night before. Your guide will have plenty of suggestions, but of course, the decision is yours.

Bottled water is included in the safari vehicle. You can also buy any drinks along your way to the safari. There will be mini-markets in town.

They are licensed by TALA, trained, friendly, and have years of experience!

We use 4 or 6-passenger 4-wheel-drive Land Cruisers, all with viewing roofs for the safaris. The vehicles have an inverter for charging batteries, a radio, and a cooler.
